We're gearing up for the now 2nd Annual Great Rhody Yarn Crawl!

Join us April 13-15, 2012 for fun events, prizes, and, of course, YARN!

Yarn stores will, once again, be accepting food donations for the RI Food Bank.
Last year, Crawlers helped us donate 1100 pounds of food!
This year, we are challenging Crawlers to up the ante.
Get your beans, peanut butter and pasta ready, because we'd like to be able to donate
1500 pounds this year. Let's do it!

Crawling for a Good Cause

We've been working on this for awhile and we're very, very pleased to officially announce our partnership with the RI Community Food Bank.

Crawlers will earn an extra raffle ticket for each shop's raffle by making a donation to the Food Bank. Donation boxes will be located at each stop of the yarn crawl. RICFB also has a handy list of most needed items at their website.

The Fun Stuff

The more stores you visit the more chance you have to win awesome stuff! In addition to the store prize drawings, there will be a drawing at Slater Mill on April 17th during the Crawl Culmination Ceremony.

Crawl Passports will be available for download as we get closer to the event date. Crawlers will receive a stamp in their Passport for each store they visit. Each stamp gets one entry into the BIG prize drawing. Visit all the stores on the list for a bonus entry!

In addition to the BIG drawing, the Culmination Ceremony will include a trunk show by Berroco and an Indy Fiber Arts Marketplace. The Cupcakerie will also be there selling their delicious treats and New Harvest Coffee Roasters coffee.

We will be adding more details, links, downloadable forms and helpful hints as we get closer to the event. We will also be posting updates at our forum at Ravelry; feel free to drop in there if you have any questions!

The Great Rhody Yarn Crawl is a statewide, week-end long event that takes place April 15-17.

The event is still in it’s very early planning stages. Slater Mill is on board; we are in the process of getting sponsors for donations of raffle items. Once we have some sponsors we can contact yarn stores to findout who is interested in participating.
